Recruitment Policy:

Recruitment may be opened up within an active game. It will be managed by the lead Shadow Legion representative(s) in that game. All applicants will be expected to meet certain criteria and to perform above standard in no less than a month long trial.

Using Ventrilo is required 100% of the time while logged into whichever game you are enrolled within. Recruits will not be given a second chance if this rule is broken repetitively. We want active people who communicate. People who listen but do not speak on vent will not be considered for recruitment. People who become inactive on vent (logged in but sitting in a channel alone or in a busy channel not paying attention/responding) after passing a recruitment process, but still play with the guild will be issued warnings. Repeat and continued offenders will be removed. In addition, you must be fluent in english, this is a necessary measure for both PvP and PvE. Accents are not an issue.

If Shadow Legion is in a particular game/server and you play on that server then you MUST be a member of the official Shadow Legion guild/clan. We will not tolerate situations where people have access to our boards but play for an opposing faction or in a different guild. People have been kicked from the guild for violating this rule before and we will do it again. We are Shadow Legion, you're either with us or against us.

We do not allow multi-guilding. Anyone applying for Shadow Legion should formally leave any and all previous guilds to avoid conflicts of interest, and to dedicate themselves to the continued progression and growth of Shadow Legion. We understand many players will have friends in other guilds, therefore we do not discourage open friendships. However, it should go without saying that if you are a member of Shadow Legion, your loyalty should be to this guild.

Anyone who is found to be discussing our private matters, sharing access to guild resources with nonguild members (this includes game accounts), helping rival guilds whom your friends may be part of, or any other actions deemed to not be in the best interest of Shadow Legion will be removed from the guild. There is a zero tolerance policy for people who cannot grasp the simple concept of loyalty and honesty.

Recruitment Process:

If you think you can handle all the red tape outlined above then all you need do is apply. A standard recruitment process is outlined below.

1. An applicant will submit a game application in the correct guild recruitment forum.
2. The applicant's submission will be reviewed by a guild leader/officer or a recruitment officer. During this step, further information may be requested from the applicant. A timely response from the applicant will be expected.
3. The applicant's submission will either be denied or the applicant will be accepted on a trial basis. At this point, details for ventrilo will be given to the applicant, and the applicant will be expected to log into our ventrilo server asap. After logging on vent, expect to be talkative because we will want to get to know you. Also an applicant must have a sense of humor, and a high tolerance for abusive or vulgar language. We are a friendly close bunch, and take the piss out of each other to pass the time and have fun. If you can't take a joke, don't bother applying.
4. At this point, the applicant's trial begins. A guild tag will be issued in game, forum access will be granted, and it is expected that the applicant remain reasonably active. The applicant will be involved in guild activities; however, with restricted privileges including but not limited to: distribution of items, consideration for inclusion in raids or leveling parties, and/or feedback in guild activites. Over the course of no less than the next month, the applicant will be expected to enjoy the game with the guild and it's members. During this time, the applicant's skills as a player and dedication to the guild will be tested.
5. At any point during the trial period, the officers/leaders can choose to terminate an application based on a number of factors. At the end of the trial period the leaders/officers will review the applicant and decide to award membership, or inform the applicant that membership is denied.
6. Applicants who pass their trial will be awarded membership and all the benefits associated with it.
