Structure

The structure of Shadow Legion(SL) is made up of four ranks. These ranks include:

Leaders/Officers - The leaders and officers of SL that run the show in the games we play. They make the important decisions to help steer the guild in the right direction to accomplish any and all goals of the guild.
Veterans - Long standing members that have come through several games with us, over several years of play. These veterans are given special privileges within the guild as thanks and acknowledgement of their continued dedication.
Members - Fully approved and trusted members that have proved their worth in a game.
Recruits - New members that have been accepted into the legion on a temporary basis. On the way to earning full membership, recruits will be tested to determine their worth to the guild based on dedication, activity, and ability.

Active Games

Active Games are marked as such on the forums. Game status is at the discretion of the Leaders/Officers.
Any SL Members with characters in an active game are required to be a member of the official guild/faction/outfit etc. Refusal is grounds for dismissal. This rule is enforced - its aim is to keep the battle lines clear.

Exit Strategy
Active Guild status will be withdrawn from a game once its player-base has dwindled to a level unacceptable to the remaining members or to the SL Leaders/Officers. Guild members are welcome to continue playing, but recruitment will be closed. In certain cases, special provisions may be provided for players wishing to remain in game, but cannot progress without guild activity.

Recruitment Policy:

Recruitment may be opened up within an active game. It will be managed by the lead Shadow Legion representative(s) in that game. All applicants will be expected to meet certain criteria and to perform above standard in no less than a month long trial.

Using Ventrilo is required 100% of the time while logged into whichever game you are enrolled within. Recruits will not be given a second chance if this rule is broken repeatedly. We want active people who communicate. People who listen but do not speak on vent will not be considered for recruitment. People who become inactive on vent (logged in but sitting in a channel alone or in a busy channel not paying attention/responding) after passing a recruitment process, but still play with the guild will be issued warnings. Repeat and continued offenders will be removed. In addition, you must be fluent in English; this is a necessary measure for both PvP and PvE. Accents are not an issue; we have members from dozens of countries.

If Shadow Legion is active in a particular game, and you play that game, then you MUST be a member of the official Shadow Legion guild, on the server/race chosen by the guild. We will not tolerate situations where people have access to our boards but play for an opposing faction or in a different guild, server or even region. People have been kicked from the guild for violating this rule before and we will do it again. We are Shadow Legion; you're either with us or against us.

We do not allow multi-guilding. Anyone applying for Shadow Legion should formally leave any and all previous guilds to avoid conflicts of interest, and to dedicate themselves to the continued progress and growth of Shadow Legion. We understand many players will have friends in other guilds, therefore we do not discourage open friendships. However, it should go without saying that if you are a member of Shadow Legion, your loyalty should be to this guild.

Anyone who is found to be discussing our private matters, sharing access to guild resources with nonguild members (this includes game accounts), helping rival guilds whom your friends may be part of, or any other actions deemed to not be in the best interest of Shadow Legion will be removed from the guild. There is a zero tolerance policy for people who cannot grasp the simple concept of loyalty and honesty.

We are Shadow Legion; you're either with us or against us. Fence-sitters get splinters!
